Dr Deb Hull, APTA Board Member, CPTAV President and Executive Officer of History Teachers’ Association of Victoria

From her experience in and out of teachers’ associations, Dr Deb Hull will present the legal obligations of Board members, best practice principles for financial governance and how to get the most out of Board meetings.

Format
A 40 minute presentation followed by a 20 minute Q & A session. Participants are able to send pre-made questions via the registration form.

Governance is such an important part of the daily operations of all professional teacher associations, regardless of size. This workshop will explore the relationship of associations with good governance. All PTA’s should send relevant executives to this valuable workshop, particularly those who have recently changed members of their executive following AGM’s. All joint councils are encouraged to promote this workshop to all respective member associations. The registration link within the flyer will provide further details and capture registrations and payments for APTA.
